So, what is keyword density?
Keyword density refers to a ratio of a specific set of keywords in relation to
the rest of the content on the site. However it’s not just about putting
many iterations of the same keyword on a page. Keyword density needs to be
balanced correctly.
Why did we build this tool?
This tool helps our clients analyze their sites and dynamically
overlays a density percentage figure at the bottom of the
page for the selected keywords. We built it so our clients
would have automated help in achieving their optimum keyword
density on their sites for a set of key terms.
What will it help you do?
Keyword density is vital because search engines use keywords
to categorize a site's theme on the web. They also use them
to determine which terms are the most relevant to the site.
Ultimately, proper keyword density helps to achieve higher
search engine positions. If it’s too low a site will
not get the optimum benefit. And, if it’s too high
and your page might get flagged for “keyword spamming.” Using
this tool will enable the Webmaster, or marketing manager,
to get one step closer to optimal rankings in the search
engines.
